His native place is Kollamkode, Palaghat, he had his education from TMHS, Perumpilavu and Karipal Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He is Joint Secretary – Valsavavakkam Workers Association and Secretary – Alwarthirunagar Ayyappa Samajam. His wife is Mrs. T.V. Devi Venugopal and he has three children – V. Reghuraj, V. Roopa and V. Rekha.
