Mrs. M.K. Sowbhagyam, a symbol of hard work and commitment is a role model for Indian women and is one of the masterminds behind the growth of a large industrial group, the ‘Cholayil Group’. She has all along been instrumental and always behind every step put forward by her husband and present Chairman of the Cholayil Group in its march towards progress. Hailing from a very respectable and reputed family of Kerala, she is born on 9th July 1938. She is actively involved with the day to day business activities of the Cholayil Group in many ways holding responsible positions such as Director – ‘Cholayil Private Limited’ ( having 36 years of standing in the field of manufacturing world quality products like ‘Medimix Ayurvedic Bath Soap’ and other Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Products) and as Director – ‘ Dorcas Market Makers Private Limited’. She is also holding responsibility asTrustee of‘ Cholayil Ayurvedic Health and Research Academy’. Amidst her official business activities Mrs. M.K. Sowbhagyam also finds time for involving herself with socio-cultural, educational and humanitarian activities. She is also one of the important persons who is holding the mantle of Ayurvedic research projects of the Cholayil Group. Her family consists of Dr. V. P.Sidhan, Chairman, Cholayil Group of Companies and son Mr. V. S. Pradeep, Managing Director, Cholayil Pharmaceuticals (P) Ltd., and daughter Mrs. Priya Anoop, Directress, Cholayil Group.
