Soman Kaithakkat

Mr. Soman Kaithakkat is an Engineer by profession is presently Proprietor of ECMA Pressings Ambattur. Soman Kaithakkat started his career with Medident India and worked with Susheera and Nailgan as Works Manager. Hailing from Kottapadi, Guruvayur in Thrissur district, he is married to Mrs. Raji Soman and the couple has two daughters Mrs. S. Srikala and S. Srividhya. He is also a writer, director and actor. His artistic ability and talent is very much evident from his works and performances on the stage. He started acting at the age of 12 as a child artist in Kaniyapuram Unnikrishnan’s “Saasthram Prathikoottil’. While at school, he wrote, directed and staged a play ‘Yuvavinte kadumkai’ at the Youth Festival. He has acted in over 300 dramas. The plays written by him include – Bhavana, Oru Janmam Thalli Thakarthavan, Thulasi Kathirukal and Anirvachaniyam. He wrote story, screenplay and dialogue for TV serials including that of Madhumohan. He is an activist of the Sunday Theatre. He is founder President of Pranavam Theatres, Founder Vice President – N.S.Dass Kalakendram and Founder President – Kolathur Malayali Samajam.
