She belongs to Ramprasadgriha in Thiruvananthapuram district and is a play back singer. She is a postgraduate in Music and has sung 700 songs in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. She has also sung 900 songs for cassettes and 120 songs for various serials. Sindu has also sung with Popular Indian play back singer Padmasree Dr. K.J. Yesudas in India as well as outside. She toured with Yesudas in countries like the USA, Canada, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, South Africa and the Gulf.
