Mr. T.C. Premaraj, specialised in air-conditioning is presently Managing Director – Silkair Group of Companies. He is recipient of the ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Puraskar’ in 1997 and a Spanish Award called ‘Golden Globe Award’ for Nisma in 1998.Hailing from Mayyil in Kannur, he is married to Mrs Geethanjali and the couple has two sons, Sanal and Akhil. In 1975, he started own business – Blue Bird – Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. In 1979, he sold the company and joined Moshin Haider Darwish at Muscat as Asst. Service Engineer. Left the job in 1982 to start own maintenance company ‘Al Barari LLC.’ – in collaboration with an Arab in Muscat. In 1989 set up first air-conditioner manufacturing company – Eastern Trading & Industry LLC. with an Arab making Nisma brand of Air Conditioners. He set up ‘Nisma Aircom International Pvt. Ltd.’ in Poonamallee, Chennai in 1992 and set up Silkair International LLC. in Fujarah, UAE in 2000. Address:
