P.V.Kunhiraman is a recipient of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy award for dance in 2006. He has been to Abu Dhabi as judge for a dance competition. Now, he is working as Choreographer in the film industry and known as Sri Raman. As a dancer he performs Kathakali, Bharatanatyam, Mohiniaattam, Oottan Thullal, Cinematic dance and the traditional Natodi Nritham. Hailing from Kuttiyeri in Pariyaram Panchayat of Thaliparampu Thaluk in Kannur District he is married to O.P.Balamani and the couple has a daughter O.P.Meera. He learned ‘Kathakali’ at Parassinikkadu Sri Muthappan Kathakali Yogam.and used to play the main female characters in the team. In Kathakali his main Guru was Kadathanattu Kochu Govindan Assan. He joined Bharathanatyam class at Kalaanjali at Adayar in Chennai and his Gurus were the world renowned dancer couple Santha Dhananjayan. He runs his own dance school ‘Bharatha Kalavedi’ at Choolaimedu in Chennai. Kunhiraman acted in some films also. He is joint Secretary – Friends Welfare Association.
