Kavalam Manmathan Nair

Mr. K. M. Nair is a banker, specialised in banking and industrial finance. Currently, he is working as Chief General Manager –(SIDBI) chief of south zone, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Pondicherry. He has an experience of 35 years in Industrial Finance mainly with RBI, IDBI, SIDBI and Rajasthan Industrial Investment Corporation. He has received several training in industrial development and related subjects both domestic and international. Widely travelled and worked in many centres in all regions of the country, he had been the member of Central Government RBI Committee, State Government Industrial Committees of Kerala, Himachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. He is the member in the Board of Directors of Kerala, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra and Tamil Nadu. Mr. Nair is the member of Productivity Council in Delhi and Department of Science and Technology, Delhi. Hailing from Kavalam, Kuttanad in Alleppy district he is a social activist helping income generating activities of poor people through a society called Ster Up Society, Kavalam. Married to Mrs Devi M. Nair the couple has a son Manoj Nair and daughter Manjusha Nair.
