Mr. Jayapalan Naroth is a Garment Exporter employing about 800 workers. He has varied interests and owns ’Hotel Bazeara’ on East Coast Road as well. He has worked in Central Government Service for 11 years from 1956 (National Small Industries Corporation) in Delhi and Chennai and at Small Industries Service Institute as Field Officer before venturing into own business. In 1977, he has started ‘Hands of Printers’ and in 1982 the company name was changed to ‘Arvind Enterprises (Exports)’. ‘B J Textile Processing Ltd.’ at Naidupet in Andhra Pradesh is a unit of Arvind Enterprises. He hails from Tellicherry in Kannur district. He is married to Mrs. Bhanumathy (Director of the company) and the couple has a son Sanjai (Managing Director of the Company) and daughter Mrs. Hansa. He is a member of Madras cricket Club and former member of Lions Club.
