He hails from Thozhuvanoor near Valancherry in Malappuram district. He sponsors free medical camp, free meals and hospital project for the poor at Khongurunathar Ashramam in Sevapet. He is married to Sheela Mohan Das, (M Com ), a home maker. They have a son Rohit and daughter K Vidhya, both studying.
