Mr P K Mohammed founded his own construction firm P K Mohammed and Co, in 1979 providing jobs to over 2500 employees in southern states including Goa. He hails from Malappuram. His construction firm built Chennai Trade Centre and the main factory of Hyundai, India’s second largest car maker as also Japanese car maker Toyota’s factory. He has so far received over 300 awards including Mother Theresa Poor Welfare Award (2005) and (Tamil Nadu) Police Flood Relief Welfare Award. He is President of Athipet Industrial Estate Owners Association. Athipet Industrial area, housing more than 500 industries, was also developed by him. He is married to Nafeeza Beebee.They have two daughters, Saleena and Sajeena, both married
