He is Managing Director of Gloshipping and Logistics P.Ltd .He began his career in the industry with global shipping major Maersk of Denmark and had worked with the company for three decades in India and abroad in various positions including Managing Director of the company in Oman.He came back to India in 2003 and started his company in 2005. He hails from Melapadam in Alappuzha district.He had received several awards in the company he worked with in all positions.His own company  has branches across India and abroad. He is married to Valsa Mathew, a home maker. They have a son, Anil Mathew working at Ahmadabad and Dr Anit Mathew, married and settled in the USA.
