V.A. Kurien is the Chairman of S S Food & Southern Investments Group of Co. He is a prominent businessman with almost four decades of standing in the field. Hailing from Mulamthuruthy near Tripunithura in Ernakulam district, he is married to Mrs. Susi Kurien and the couple has two daughters Mary and Susan. V.A. Kurien is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He started own business ‘Kurien & Co’ in 1967. Subsequently, he started ‘Southern Investments (Developers)’ in Chennai, Kerala and Bangalore in 1969. In 1960, he also started a printing press ‘Southern Offset’. In 1969 he set up ‘Southern Sea Foods’. Kurien has business in Atlanta, ‘KRIC International’, a farmers super market. He also owns a resort ,‘Green Meadows’ in Chennai. He is former president of YMCA, Chennai.
