Haridasan K. V

Mr. K.V.Haridasan is an eminent painter. He has several exhibitions to his credit including the “Yantra Series” conducted at British Council, Madras, “Brahmasutra” Series and “Vija Yantra” Series both exhibited in various theatres in New Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai, Calicut and Madras. He has conducted artists’ camps at Lalitha Kala Academy, New Delhi, Kashmir, Kerala and Madras. He has conducted many artist camps in India and Germany. He has also served as the Editor of ‘Art Trends’ an Art Magazine of the Progressive Painter’s Association. During 1980 – 88 period he served as the Professor and Head of the Department of Painting, College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram. In 1986, he has produced a Tele Film on Modern Art for MCRC, Hyderabad. During 1981-92, he was a Jury Member of the National Exhibition of Art, Lalitha Kala Academy at New Delhi. During 1994, he was a Senior Fellow at the Department of Culture, Ministry of Human Resourses, Govt.of India. He has published a book ‘Intimations on Art – Indian, Western, Modern Traditions and Tantra’ in 1994. He is recipient of the prestigious ‘Lalitha Kala Puraskar Achievement Award’ of Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy in 2003. He has conducted various national and international exhibitions and visited USSR, Germany, France, Switzerland etc.He hails from Keecheri, Kalyasseri in Kannur district. He is married to Smt.G.Padmini and the couple has one son – Mohana Krishnan.
