Fowzia Fathima

Mrs. Fowzia Fathima, specialised in cinematography, art, history and criticism, is a prospective cinematographer doing independent cinematography for feature films since 2000. Her independent – maiden film is ‘Mitr – My Friend’ in English directed by well-known actress Revathy and the lead role-played by actress Shobana. She has been considered as a successful woman cinematographer in the country. Fowzia Fathima is married to Mr. Pradeep Cheriyan (Painter), Mullamoottil House, Near Eruthickal Temple, St. George Lane, Kottayam and the couple has one daughter. During the early days of her career she worked as apprentice with prominent Cinematographer P.C.Sreeram. After the film ‘Mitr – My Friend’ she did Cinematography for the Tamil feature film ‘UYIR’ in 2006. Fowzia Fathima has done cinematography for seven films. She has also conducted workshops on cinematography and takes classes.
