Mr P R Antony is now leading a retired life in Chennai after working in the engineering industry for over four decades. He holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Guindy Engineering College and was with Hindustan Steel Limited,Rourkela Steel Plant, Industrial Devlopment Corporation in Orissa, Bharat Steel Tubes in Haryana and Apollo Tubes, Ranipet from where he retired as President of the Company in 1995.He was involved in the construction and commissioning of the plant at Ranipet and was Technical Adviser to the company. Mr Antony hails from Irinjalakuda in Trichur district. His father Mr Parampil Raphael was former Chief Secretary of the erstwhile state of Kochi. He is married to Mary (Mercy).
