Ambika Balan

Mr Ambika Balan is Managing Director Of Sree Amrutha Ambika Chits P.Ltd and a hotelier. He has a chain of three-star hotels in the city including Hotel City Tower. He started a tea shop at Mylapore in 1964 and then opened more shops in different parts of the city every year. In 1970 he started a chit fund named Ambika Chits which was renamed and made into a private limited co in 1972.The Chit Funds has different branches in the city. He started hotels business in 1980. He hails from Thalassery in Kannur district. He is a member, Kerala Samajam, Malayalee Samajam, AIMA(Chairman), life member, Malayalee Club, EC member, Malayala Vidyalayam,EC member,CTMA.VP,Malayalaee Samajam.and CTMA Education Trust Trustee. He is married to M P Narayani.They have two sons, Sivakumar and Sasikumar, both directors of family cos and daughter Shyama, married and settled at Dubai .
