Mr.K.O. Isaac is the Chairman and Managing Director of ABL Biotechnologies Ltd. It was in 1992 that he launched ABL Biotechnologies as a Pvt. Ltd. company, which spearheaded the establishment of a unique Research and Development effort in aquatic micro-organisms for bio-chemicals focused at the Pharmaceutical, Nutrition, Cosmetic and Industrial intermediates markets. This facility is the only one in its area in the private sector to receive accreditation to and recognition by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. In the year 2000, he formed Shantha Marine Biotechnologies (P) Ltd. and as its Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) successfully led the development team in transferring pilot scale technology from ABL to full commercial scale. In September 2003 he established ABL Biotechnologies Ltd. He hails from Kodukulanji in Alappuzha district. He is the President of Photography Club of Madras. He is married to Mrs. Rose Mary Isaac and the couple has two children – Thomas Isaac and Susan Ann Isaac.
