Colonel M.T. Augustine

Colonel M.T. Augustine is a senior officer of Indian Army in Chennai as Battalion Commander in OTA looking after the training of Gentleman Cadets being trained to become Commissioned Officers. He is specialised in Artillery Weapon Systems and recipient of several awards for meritorious service like ‘Sainya Seva Medal’, ‘High Altitude Medal’, ‘9 Years Long Service Medal’, ‘50th Independence Anniversary Medal’, ‘Suraksha Medal’, ’20 Years Long Service Medal’, ‘OP Parakram’, ‘OP Vijay’ etc. He represented the Indian Army in Democratic Republic of Congo in 2001 – 02 as UN Observer (Military). He started his career in the Army Service as Commissioned Officer in the rank of 2 / Lt. and has completed 25 years of service in the defence force. Hailing from Vaikom in Kottayam district, he is married to Mrs. Annie Augustine and the couple has two sons – Master Ashish T. Augustine and Arpit Augustine.
