Col. Rajeev Mannali

Col Rajeev Mannali, who has been serving the Indian Army for over 35 years is presently ‘Administrative Commandant’ of Chennai Military Station. He was a Director of Military Intelligence (Foreign Division) in the Army Headquarters from 1999-2002, and was responsible for shaping the Indian Army’s relations with foreign armies during his tenure. Hailing from Chullickal, Mattancherry in Kochi, he is married to Mrs.Jaya R Mannali and the couple has a daughter Dr.Aswti R Mannali, Dentist at Chennai and a son Anup R Mannali, medical student at Philippines. Col Rajeev Mannali is a product of Sainik School, Kazhakuttom from where he passed out with distinction and graduated from National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla. He has commanded a tank Squadron in Sri Lanka as part of Indian Peace Keeping Force in 1988-89. He commanded an Armoured Regiment in J & K during Kargil operations. Col Rajeev Mannali served as ‘Chief Instructor in the School of Armoured Warfare’ at Ahmednagar and was responsible for training officers from the ranks of Lt to Lt Cols. He was also a ‘Member of the Adhoc Board of Defence Studies’ at Pune University and was also a ‘Member of Visiting Faculty’ at the Institute of Armament Technology (a deemed university) at Pune.
